Kodi is an open-source media player which is a free application that functions as a digital media center. This application enables you to play your media, cast it between various devices, from a primary location to other devices.

You can use Kodi on most of the operating systems such as Android, Microsoft Windows, Linux, iOS, and devices such as Amazon FireTV, Smartphones, Apple TV, Xbox, Raspberry Pi, and PC. This article learn you bring IPTV channels on the newest version of Kodi Krypton 

Download KODI (Krypton)

Start by downloading Kodi based on your operating system at https://kodi.tv/download. In this case, we select “Windows“. 

*Please note, the installation process is very similar in all operating systems.

Install IPTV channels on KODI

Time needed: 13 minutes.

  1. Click on “Add-ons“.

    Choose Add-ons.

  2. Now click on “My Add-ons“.

    Press My Add-ons to select and customise required Add-on

  3. Select “PVR clients“.

    Select PVR clients where in image shows.

  4. Select “PVR IPTV Simple Client“.

    There are other add on from third parties in Kodi to load IPTV Channels , But PVR IPTV simple client is one of default add ons.

  5. Click on “Configure“.

    Click on Configure , we need enter IPTV details

  6. Select “M3U Play List URL“.

    You can choose saved m3u file too in Location , But its better to Enter M3u list URL to have allways updated list .

  7. Now paste your M3U URL.

    Paste the m3u link you got from your IPTV provider .

  8. Now click on “XMLTV URL” for install EPG

  10. Click on “Enable“.

Bring IPTV channels to GSE smart IPTV

Attention : You need have an IPTV subscription to get m3u Link or XTREAM CODES. If you have not, click here to place an IPTV subscription .

Time needed: 6 minutes.

Install IPTV on GSE smart IPTV

  1. Navigate to XTREAM CODES API

    navigate to XTREAM CODES PAI section from app menustep 1

  2. Press + icon

    Press + icon to add new XTREAM CODES list step 2

  3. Enter Xtream based details

    Enter Xtream based connection details : Server , username and password which provided by your IPTV provider. (the details in picture are example and you need enter your own )
    You need set a name in Any Name field , It can be any name as you like .
    Turn ON Autoupdate EPG
    Then press login

  4. Enter created list and watch movies and Live TV channels

How can I set m3u link instead of Xtream Codes connection ?

You can use Remote Playlists section , press + button and choose Add M3U URL , then paste M3u link .m3u url on GSE smart IPTV

How record a channel ?

When choose a channel in list choose Play/Record in pop up .

Then you can press RED button in player to record the channel.

How remove advertise from GSE smart IPTV?

GSE smart IPTV free version show advertise while change channels, You need purchase it to remove ads .
To purchase app navigate to Purchase from app menu and follow purchase process .

How cast IPTV Channels over Chromecast ?

Press Cast icon on TOP-RIGHT side of app . to stream GSE smart IPTV screen over an available Chromecast devicecast IPTV on chromecast

VLC is one of the most used applications for streaming IPTV channels. The VLC media player is a free and open-source, portable, cross-platform media player and streaming media server produced by the VideoLAN project.

VLC is available for desktop operating systems and mobile platforms, such as Android, iOS, Tizen, Windows 10 Mobile, and Windows Phone.

Note: VLC for iOS, Android can not play M3u list with more than 10 items, but many IPTV players support VLC as external player .

Download VLC

Download any version for any platform from official VLC website : https://www.videolan.org/

Add IPTV channels to VLC player.

Time needed: 3 minutes.

ADD IPTV CHANNELS TO VLC PLAYER.

  1. Enter M3u link

    After installation go to File > Open network  and paste the m3u link in URL 
    or press CTRL+N ( Command + N in MAC OS X) and enter m3u link in URL section

  2. Open Channel list

    Then select Open and press the 3 lines icon to bring up channels list ( ctrl + L )

Record an IPTV channel via VLC (MAC )

Step 1: active stream output after enter M3u Link in Network and click on Settings

Step 2: Set a location where records will be save . in File section and press OK

Step 3: Select Open to load M3u link channels . When you want record a TV channel , Navigate to  Playback > Record in Menu and selec stop to finish recording.

FAQs

Why VLC crash while load m3u link ?

It happen while loading very huge playlist (like full package of IPTVandIPTV provider which are more than 60000 items ) . You need decrease Channels and VOD list . Its possible to manage and remove unwanted categories via IPTV dashboards which provided by your provider.

Can I see Channels, and VOD groups ( Bouquets ) in VLC?

It’s not possible via VLC player.
